Why Big Tech’s Censorship Is A Big Mistake

Following

This episode of What’s Ahead warns that Big Tech companies are making a major blunder by trying to severely restrict or stamp out right-of-center opinion in the aftermath of the horrific mob attack on Capitol Hill last week. Particularly egregious is the attempt by Amazon, Facebook, Twitter and others to destroy Parler, a relatively new competitor to Twitter.

Their rationales don’t hold up to scrutiny.

They’re only creating serious ill-will that will eventually hurt them and, in the meantime, is leading tens of millions of people to conclude that their ability to express their opinions is being suppressed. This is toxic for our political life.

Big Tech should back off and follow the example of AT&T decades ago, when it was a legal monopoly. It went out of its way to serve and keep happy one and all with superb service, while every media outlet got Ma Bell advertisements.
