Hip Hop Culture in Education + Managing Your Money
Join us for a fireside chat on November 19 at 3pm EST with Dr. Edmund Adjapong, Assistant Professor and Program Director within the Department of Educational Studies at Seton Hall University and former middle school science educator. Dr. Adjapong's current focus is on how to incorporate youth culture into educational spaces, specifically on utilizing hip-hop culture and sensibilities as an approach to teaching and learning.

Also, sign up for Florida Council for Economic Education’s Virtual Discussion on the Importance of Managing Your Money with Keynote Speaker: Brandon Copeland - NFL Linebacker and University of Pennsylvania Professor on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10-11am EST. This event is free for K-12 teachers & students.
Finance & Business Curriculum
Here are some resources for you to create a fun and exciting week:

Finance: Let students have fun with Rento Fortune a free, online board game that is similar to Monopoly. Students compete with two, three, or four players.

Accounting: Introduce Tax Basics to your students and have them break down their paycheck to explain why What You Earn is Not What You Keep.

Business: Businesses have a legal and ethical responsibility to maintain gender diversity in the workforce. Unfortunately, studies have found that COVID-19 Takes a Toll on Women's Careers. Have your students investigate this ethics dilemma and encourage your male students to learn about allyship and responsibility, with Women in the Workplace, an article to guide students through a discussion.

Entrepreneurship: Students explore the core virtue of trust as they examine the concept of Reinventing Ethical Entrepreneurship. This exercise draws on the significance of trust by having students play a competitive advertising game.
