While travel plans may currently be on the backburner, it’s important that students continue to flex their hospitality muscles! Use these resources, listed below, to help your students plan a trip and present an itinerary to the class. 
  
Part 1: Become a Travel Agent by learning what it is and what they do, then plan a vacation within the US. 
  
Part 2:  Plan a Texas Vacation and experience travel adventures by exploring the local and regional tourism in the area. Have your students develop their cost-effective Texas travel itinerary for various scenarios!
  
Part 3: View this YouTube video tutorial before using Excel to organize all your travel plans, including research, itinerary, hotel, tours, bookings, and cost of the trip.

WHAT WE'RE LEARNING - RACIAL EQUITY IN PRACTICE
Watch this video from the Museum of African-American History and Culture, where Dr. DiAngelo helps us ask, "Why does understanding white privilege matter?" Dr. DiAngelo also appeared on Jimmy Fallon this past summer to talk about why white people should stop saying they’re not racist. Then check out this research showing that children not only recognize race from a very young age, but also develop racial biases by ages three to five.
