Help Us Improve Our Work-Based Learning Resources
We are working to refresh our resources and we want to hear from you! We are offering $100 to those selected to participate in a one-time, one-hour virtual discussion in January 2021. If you’re interested in participating, submit your application by December 22.
Hospitality & Tourism Curriculum

1. In NAF’s Hospitality & Tourism Curriculum, look into a multitude of courses on delivering great customer service, event planning, hospitality marketing, and more. 
 
2. Use Generational Spending & Hospitality to investigate the changing spending patterns between generations and its relation to the hospitality industry's emerging trends. 
 
3. In the Sports and Entertainment Promotional Plan PBL Project, build students' marketing skills by developing a promotional plan.
 
4. This video, Developing an effective marketing strategy, is a great segue to introduce the PBL project, Revolutionizing Gender-Based Marketing. 
 
5. This COVID-19 Masks Effect Body Language video is a perfect prompt for students to write and perform skits about customer service miscommunications due to masks.

HOW WE'RE TEACHING ONLINE

WHAT WE'RE LEARNING - RACIAL EQUITY IN PRACTICE
  1. This piece teaches us how white educators can become anti-racist in their classrooms. 
  2. In parts one, two, and three of Sharmayne Jenkins’s webinar, we learn how to build culturally competent classrooms. 
  3. In this video from EdWeek, we hear from ten Black students on what they would like educators to know from their perspective.
