This week we are featuring MOOCs: Massive Open Online Courses that are free and available for anyone to enroll. To prepare students for post-secondary learning, many high school teachers are turning to MOOCs, which are offered by universities around the world, to expose students to higher-level coursework.
Engineering: This Introduction to Engineering and Design explores the primary fields of engineering and the engineering design process, from conceptual design and optimal choice evaluation to prototyping and project construction.
Finance & Business: UPenn’s Introduction to Financial Accounting helps students master the technical skills needed to analyze financial statements and disclosures for use in financial analysis and learn how accounting standards and managerial incentives affect the financial reporting process.
Health Sciences: Global Health: Ebola, COVID, and Beyondexplores how multidisciplinary teams can work more effectively together to address global health needs.
