We’ve heard from many educators about how the post-election news cycle has left you or your students feeling overwhelmed with a range of emotions. Hospitality & Tourism Curriculum
The future can be vexing for students to think about. This week, we have different careers for your students to browse to feel more prepared.

Tourism: The global spread of COVID-19 is presenting many challenges for those abroad or about to travel. Use the Traveler COVID-19 Hub to update students regarding advice to travelers during this challenging time. Also, have your students check out these Travel Leaders and their inspiring stories in this industry.
   
Hospitality: Working in the Hospitality and Tourism industry can be demanding. In this lesson, The Work-Life Balancing Act, students will learn time-saving techniques to balance a healthy work and life schedule.
   
Event Planning: Have your students look into the exciting and fast-paced Meeting, Convention, and Event Planner careers that may mean extensive traveling, planning meetings, and more.  
   
Culinary Arts: Use Food Preparation & Serving Occupations to have your students research career profiles, required education, and more for various culinary careers. And check out these Professionals' Stories in the Food Industry to help inspire students!

WHAT WE'RE LEARNING - RACIAL EQUITY IN PRACTICE
Helping seniors with their college essays this Fall will not be business as usual. Read this blog post that provides some tips to help guide your students through this process. Historically, higher education has been viewed as a game changer for Black and Hispanic/Latinx students. WHEN WORK-BASED LEARNING GOES VIRTUAL
KPMG will be hosting a live interactive session for high school students interested in Accounting, Finance, or Business on Tuesday, November 10 at 5pm ET. You’ll hear interactive presentations from KPMG professionals and learn about college readiness, employment, and resumes. This event is being hosted by NY Exploring but is open to students all across the country.
