This week, our newsletter is focused on supporting students and educators through the rocky first weeks of online learning. We’ve got a great webinar on engaging ways to teach finance virtually; three live events for students on wellness and mental health, managing finances, and going to college; and our new Ask a NAF Expert open office hours where you can get live help from NAF staff any day of the week.

Hang in there, don’t be shy, and reply to this email or give us a call if we can help! And we’d always love a quick note to let us know what you think of these emails.
Resource of the Week
Finance Tools You Can Use
Join NAF and NextGen Personal Finance this Thursday, Sept 10 at 3pm EDT for an overview of virtual-ready lessons, activities, and finance games you can play! This webinar will explore topics like Consumer Spending, Financial Services, Ethics, and Entrepreneurship. Even if you can’t attend, you can still register if you want to receive the recording.
REMINDER: There's still time to register for Sharmayne Jenkins' three-part Educational Series on Cultural Consciousness & Competence coming up on Sep 15, 17, and 22.
Finance & Business Curriculum
Here are our favorite projects and activities you can use this week:

Finance: Try “The Uber Game” to teach financial literacy and see if you can make it in the gig economy – it’s one of our favorite games from this list of ten fun ways to teach financial literacy from Edutopia.

Accounting: We’ve been loving the YouTube Channel of Accounting Stuff where they have great short videos you can use to introduce students to topics like accounting basics, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Business: Introduce these 10 Economic Principles from the Youth Entrepreneurs Academy, including the Four S’s, the Four Market Measures, and Ricardo’s Law of Comparative Advantage.

Entrepreneurship: Research examples of how other entrepreneurs identified their opportunity using this lesson plan from CTE Online – and for a modern-day update, ask students to choose an example to research from the How I Built This podcast.
