Election Day is upon us and first things first—are you ready to cast your vote? We recommend you visit Vote.org for specific information about the ways you can vote in your state.

The election might bring up a lot of questions, feelings, and opinions for students. You can plan ahead for talking about the election in your classroom with What will you do on Wednesday? from Teaching Tolerance or this blog from Edutopia focused on students' social and emotional needs related to the election.

Collaborate With Parents

Join Naomi Harm and NAF on November 12 at 3 PM ET to discover how educators can design new innovative high school and career-focused collaboration and communication strategies with parents.

Here are some lessons and activities to try:

Programming: Try this fun activity by CTE Online, The Javengers, and engage your students in Java by creating Super Hero objects!

Web/Digital Design: Have your students learn how to add interactivity to their websites through this exercise by CTE Online called Making your webpage pop!

Cybersecurity: Have your students solve different challenges presented in the Nova Cybersecurity Lab game by PBS Learning.

Computer Networks: In this project, students have access to a remote virtual Ubuntu Linux Operating System hosted on Amazon Web Services called Web App in the Cloud.

Engineering: Creating projects quickly, efficiently, and of higher quality is the future. Use this team activity from CTE Online to have your students design and develop a soccer cleat dirt removal ma t, using the engineering design process.

Interdisciplinary Project: Try out this interesting activity with your students called Are robots taking over our jobs? This activity also works well with small groups in remote learning settings!
