It's Black History Month! We will be sharing resources highlighting the importance of this month and why its themes should be honored every day. In celebration, we would love to hear fromand amplifyyour students' voices as to why Black History Month is important to them. They may even get a chance to be featured on our social media!
We encourage you to take the time this month: to discuss and examine stories from the Black community who fought for civil and human rights, so that we may be better prepared to advocate for a better, more equitable America.

Curriculum You Can Use
Diversity is a rapidly expanding theme across the spectrum of numerous companies. Engage your students in developing 5 Strategies for Promoting Diversity in the Workplace created by the HULT International Business School, to better prepare them in the language and importance of diversity.

Check out this hybrid flipped lesson that we created at NAF, that offers three-step levels of activities to engage students:
  • Step 1: Drive inquiry, encourage exploration, and assess the student’s prior knowledge through these two video clips: "Diversity, a word most easily understood" and "Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in 2021."
  • Step 2: Transfer information and understand their thinking around the video content.
  • Step 3: Have your students create a presentation on their strategies for promoting diversity in their career.
